How does the repeat work on fabric by the metre?
Fabric by the metre is printed in panels: the full fabric width × 1 metre of length is the repeat unit, and the roll is that panel repeated end to end (20 m is twenty panels).
Inside the panel you're free: design the whole panel as one artwork (a photo, a placed composition, a large motif) so it prints once per metre, or a smaller tile repeated inside the panel. The design tool has no scale control yet, so a motif prints at your file's size — prepare it at the real size you want, and tell us the finished size if you'd like help. A single continuous image longer than one metre without repeating isn't possible. Panels are indicatively around: Rib 130 × 100, Gauze 145 × 100, Jersey 155 × 100, French Terry 195 × 100, Percale and Half-Panama 140 × 100, Sateen 150 × 100 cm.
