Reactive-printed textile samples — production-grade pre-launch sampling made in the EU
Solutions · Sample production

Samples that are the real thing.

Pre-launch sampling for full collections, buyer pitches and design review — produced on the same reactive line, the same base and the same finish as your final run. So what you approve is exactly what ships. MOQ 1, by the piece or by the metre. Made across Portugal, Spain and the Netherlands.

The problem

A sample that lies costs you the collection.

Sampling only works if the sample tells the truth. When it’s made on a different machine or base than the run, the approval is a guess — and the gap shows up after you’ve committed the season. Sampling on the same European print-on-demand line that runs the production removes that gap.

Fidelity

Sample ≠ production

Sampling on a different machine or base means the approved piece and the produced run don’t match. Colour shifts, hand-feel changes, and the delta lands after you’ve committed.

Cost

Sampling priced like a project

Traditional sampling carries setup fees and minimums, so testing three colourways of one design becomes a budget line rather than a quick check.

Speed

Samples gate the timeline

Slow sample rounds push back the buyer pitch, the line sheet and the launch. The whole collection waits on the swatch.

The answer

Sample on the production line itself.

Because MOQ is 1, your sample is produced exactly how the run will be — the same reactive line, the same base, the same finish. Approval stops being a guess: what you sign off is what ships. Order a single piece, or fabric by the metre to see a print on the actual cloth.

  • Same line, same base, same finish — the sample is produced exactly how the run will be, so approval means certainty.
  • MOQ 1, by piece or metre — sample a single garment, or order fabric from 1 m to see a print on the actual cloth.
  • Instant tier pricing — no setup fees; a sample is priced the same transparent way as production.
  • Fast turnaround — sample rounds run on the production line, not a separate queue, so the timeline holds.
  • Full documentation — OEKO-TEX docs on every sample, GOTS docs on organic cotton apparel, ready for buyer and retail-channel review.

How it works

Sample, approve, scale — same place.

Order samples from the dashboard, review them in hand, approve, and scale to a full run on the same supply chain. The approved spec carries straight into production with nothing re-sourced.

01
Order samples
Piece or metre

Add the pieces or order fabric by the metre, upload artwork, and place the sample order — priced instantly by tier.

02
Review
In your hands

Assess colour, hand-feel and build on the real product — the same one the run will produce.

03
Approve
Lock the spec

Approve the sample and the spec locks: base, colour profile, sizes and care label, ready to scale.

04
Scale
Same supply chain

Move from sample to full production on the same line — what you approved is what ships.

See a print on the actual cloth by the metre before cut-and-sew.

Fit & spec review

Sample a size run to lock fit and spec before scaling.

Who runs sample production

Six archetypes for pre-production sampling.

All six are managing the same risk — bulk-committing to a SKU before they can physically inspect the finished product — from different angles.

Fashion design teams

Designing capsule collections for 200–5,000-unit runs. Sample the AOP positioning, the cut and the brand fit before locking the production order.

Bedding manufacturers

Running their own cut-and-sew but evaluating Fabrixa as an alternative. Sample one duvet on each base (Percale, Sateen or blend) before specifying.

Retail buyers

Buying-team sampling for a house-line tier review. Sample the SKU at production-grade quality and circulate it physically through the buying committee.

Interior designers

Validating cushion, curtain and table-linen artwork on the actual fabric base before committing to a residential or hospitality project order.

Procurement teams

Multi-supplier vendor evaluation. Sample the same SKU at the same spec from each candidate supplier and compare physically against quality standards.

Content & photography

Brand teams needing finished-product samples for product photography, marketing imagery and press packs ahead of a production launch.

Sample-to-production

No surprises between approval and the run.

The whole point of a sample is that it predicts the run. On one supply chain, with one locked spec, it does — exactly.

  • What you approve is what ships — sample and run share the line, base and process.
  • No setup fees — sampling priced by the same transparent tier model as production.
  • Reusable spec — the approved sample locks a spec reused on every production order.
  • White-label dispatch — samples and production both ship under your brand (custom-printed packaging is on our roadmap and available for larger orders).
What you provide

Two things from you. Everything else from us.

01

Your artwork

Your artwork — TIFF, PNG, JPG or PDF at 300 DPI. We create the correct print files so the sample matches the run.

02

The sample spec

Which pieces, bases, sizes and colourways to sample, plus your return address. We produce and dispatch them.

FAQ

Sample production, answered

Can I sample a size run to check fit before a full production order?

Yes, fit and spec review is one of Fabrixa’s standard sample types: a size run is sampled to lock fit and spec before scaling to a full production order. Samples run on the same reactive line and base as the final run, produced across Portugal, Spain and the Netherlands.

Does a production sample come with GOTS and OEKO-TEX documentation?

Yes, Fabrixa issues the same certification documents with a sample as with a production order: OEKO-TEX Standard 100 for every base, and GOTS for organic cotton apparel and apparel-weight fabrics. Buyers and retail-channel reviewers can check certification before the run is placed. Samples are produced on the same line as full production, across Portugal, Spain and the Netherlands.

Is sample production priced differently from a full order?

No, Fabrixa samples carry no setup fees and use the same transparent tier pricing as a full production run. Testing several colourways of one design stays a normal order rather than a separate budget line, whether the sample is a single garment or fabric ordered by the metre.

Can procurement teams sample the same SKU from multiple suppliers to compare?

Yes, procurement teams use Fabrixa for multi-supplier evaluation, sampling the same SKU at the same spec so it can be compared physically against other candidate suppliers’ quality standards. Samples run at MOQ 1 on the same reactive line used for full production, across Portugal, Spain and the Netherlands.

What happens once a production sample is approved?

Once a Fabrixa sample is approved, its spec locks — base, colour profile, sizes and care label — and carries straight into production on the same supply chain, so nothing is re-sourced. The sample and the run share the same reactive line and finish, so what was approved is what ships.
