MOQ 1 m · PORTUGAL · INDUSTRIAL REACTIVE PRINT · SHIPPED ON ROLLS
Three apparel-weight bases. One Portuguese print line.
Fashion Weight is the lightest tier of the Fabrics per Meter range — cotton bases engineered for cut-and-sew apparel production. All three are reactive-printed in Portugal, on the same line that produces our finished apparel SKUs. Buy by the metre, integrate into your own production, ship under your own brand.
Smooth medium-weight cotton jersey at 220 GSM. Substantial enough for premium T-shirts and dresses, soft enough for loungewear. The everyday workhorse for elevated apparel collections. 155 cm wide.
Knitted Rib 2x1 cotton with stretch and recovery. The fabric for cuffs, collars, waistbands, trims, and fitted garments where elasticity matters. 130 cm wide. Pairs naturally with Jersey 220 in a single garment.
Every Fashion Weight base, with full specs.
All three bases available at MOQ 1 metre, reactive-printed to your artwork, shipped on the roll from Portugal.

Pricing is quote-based per project — volume tier, complexity of artwork, and any customisation (specific roll lengths, conditioning, finishing) all feed into the per-metre rate. Get a quote from the pricing page or talk to sales for larger orders.
Three weaves, three constructions, three handfeels — one production line.
All three Fashion Weight bases are 100% cotton, all sourced through the same Portuguese mill network we use for finished apparel. Where they differ is the knit or weave structure: Gauze is loose-woven for airiness; Jersey 220 is a knit construction for stretch and softness; Rib 2x1 is a ribbed knit with controlled elastic recovery.
The reactive print process is identical across all three — what changes is how each fabric takes the dye and how the resulting handfeel reads. Same artwork file, same colour profile, three different finished textures.
Loose weave, soft hand, airy drape
100% cotton gauze with a deliberately open weave. Light enough for summer apparel and accessories, soft enough for baby pieces. Reactive print preserves the texture — you see the weave through the colour, not on top of it. Recommended applications: scarves, baby products, lightweight apparel, soft home textiles.
Smooth knit, substantial body
220 g/m² cotton jersey, the medium-weight knit standard for elevated everyday apparel. Smooth face takes reactive print with deep saturation and sharp definition. Wide enough at 155 cm to cut full-bleed AOP T-shirts without panel seaming. Recommended: T-shirts, dresses, loungewear, premium basics.
Stretch, structure, recovery
2x1 ribbed knit with structured stretch. The companion fabric to Jersey 220 in any garment that needs trim, banding, or fitted finishing — cuffs, collars, waistbands, neckbands. Also stands alone as the base for fitted apparel and babywear. Print result: rich colour depth on a textured, breathable surface.
Industrial reactive printing — the same process used for our finished apparel.
Reactive dye chemistry chemically bonds colour into the cotton fibre. On a knitted jersey or a loosely woven gauze, the colour becomes part of the thread structure rather than a coating on top. The fabric still feels like cotton when you cut it. The print survives the wash cycles your end customer will put it through.
- Deep colour saturation, photographic-grade detail
- Soft cotton handfeel preserved — no plastic surface
- Wash durability typically 600+ cycles before measurable fade
- Custom artwork to your file (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, raster, vector)
- Pantone-matchable on request — talk to sales for colour-critical projects
- Same dye chemistry across all three Fashion Weight bases — consistent colour result
Sold by the metre, shipped on the roll.
All three Fashion Weight bases ship as continuous lengths on cardboard rolls. No panel seams, no length-cutoff. Cut to your order length — from sampling quantities (1–5 m) through small production runs to multi-roll orders.
1 metre
Same MOQ across all three bases — sample lengths, prototype runs, full production rolls all hit the same minimum.
Continuous
Each order ships as a single continuous length on a cardboard roll. Roll diameter scales with metres ordered.
130–155 cm
130 cm (Rib), 145 cm (Gauze), 155 cm (Jersey). Cut planning for AOP-bleed garments should reference the specific base.
Pre-shrunk
Cotton bases are pre-conditioned (mercerised, enzyme-washed where applicable) so post-print dimensional change is minimal.
Lead time depends on metres + queue position. Talk to sales for SLAs.
Reactive-printed fabric runs alongside our finished-apparel production in the same Portuguese facility. A short sampling run (5–20 m) typically goes through fast. Longer production rolls (100+ m) sit in queue with the finished-goods workload. Quote-confirmed lead times come back per project at order confirmation.
Production timeline
Dispatch & delivery
Fashion Weight is for cut-and-sew teams.
Capsule prototyping
Independent fashion designers prototyping limited runs. Buy 5–20 m of Jersey 220 with custom artwork, cut and sew in-house, ship a Drop #001 capsule under the studio brand.
In-house production
Established brands running their own cut-and-sew lines. Source Fashion Weight rolls as printed input. Pair Jersey 220 + Rib 2X1 in matching artwork for fully integrated pieces.
Soft-fabric specialists
Brands building baby clothing, kids’ soft accessories, premium baby gifts. Gauze and Jersey 220 are both OEKO-TEX-grade for skin contact — appropriate for under-3 wear.
House-line manufacturing
Multi-brand factories building house lines for retailers. Predictable cotton spec, predictable widths, predictable reactive-print colour fidelity across multiple SKUs.
Per-metre pricing is quote-driven.
Fabric-by-the-metre orders depend on metre count, artwork complexity, fabric base, and any conditioning or finishing customisations. We quote per project — faster for repeat customers with established artwork files, slower for new fabric specs that need a sample-and-confirm round.
